Cats claw significant commitment
One of the nation’s top quarterbacks has made up his mind and made the call. So where did San Diego St. Augustine four-star quarterback Richard Kovalcheck commit to?
“I made the call and I’m going to be a Wildcat,” Kovalcheck, who is 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, said. “It just had everything I wanted in a school – a great social setting, good academics and an offense that fits my skills.”

Kovalcheck picked the Wildcats over Tennessee.
“If Tennessee had the other stuff, then that’s where I would be at,” he said. “But Tennessee only seemed to really fit my needs in football, and I needed the total package.”
Kovalcheck is ranked as the nation’s No. 15 pro-style quarterback.
