Cate ready to see Tiger Stadium
Salt Lake City (Utah) Cottonwood three-star quarterback Alex Cate committed to LSU back on June 12, and ever since he's been a lock for the Tigers. He is hoping a weekend trip to Baton Rouge, La., gives him an even better feeling about his commitment.
"We're actually leaving in a couple of hours," Cate, a December graduate that is 6-foot and 200 pounds, said. "We don't have school today, so we can spend an extra day on our own checking out Baton Rouge.

"I'm really excited to see the game this weekend and learn even more about LSU."
Cate said things on the field have also been going great. So far on the season his team is 7-2 and they're first in the region.
"Playoffs start next Friday and we're seeded No. 1, so hopefully we can play in the finals again and win this time," Cate said. "My stats through nine games are pretty good. I've had 134 completions on 221 attempts, and I've thrown for 2,288 yards and 26 touchdowns. I've also rushed for four scores.
