Cate closes the rumor case

Rumors are constantly swirling in the recruiting world that top flight recruits who have been long-time commits to a certain program are looking around, but LSU quarterback commitment Alex Cate is not in that category apparently.
The 6-foot, 200-pound signal caller had numerous offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Washington before committing to the Tigers and it seemed to be the end to his recruiting process. However, one school has not given up even though Cate has been polite in saying he's done.

"Oklahoma State is still pushing and that's really been the only one," Cate said. "Those are great guys, but I told them I want to stick with my commitment. I guess you never know what could happen, but I'm solid on LSU and that's what I told them."
Cate traveled down to see LSU take on Arizona State but wants to make a home game trip to see Auburn and LSU do battle.
Other than a sealed up recruiting process, Cate is trying to keep his team on the winning track without some key weapons to throw to.
"We lost two receivers," Cate said. "One is out for the season with injury and we're adjusting our offense to use what we have. We've only lost one game and one three. The loss was our first game, so we've bounced back well with some wins."
One thing is for sure – Cate is glad to be done with all of the recruiting and know where he's going for college.
"I wouldn't want to think about all that stuff right now and I like concentrating on our season," he said. "It's nice being done."
