Catalina makes a commitment

Greensburg (Pa.) Central Catholic quarterback Cody Catalina has committed to Syracuse over scholarship offers from Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Tulane, Temple, Toledo, Akron, Buffalo, Delaware, and New Hampshire.
"I committed to Syracuse this morning," Catalina said. "I really like the coaches there. They are upfront with everything.

"They told me they would let me know if they were going to offer by May 1, then they called on May 1 and offered.
"And I really like how I'll fit in their offense. They have an up and coming program. It will be a great place to be."
The 6-foot-2 and 200-pound Catalina threw for 1400 yards and 14 touchdowns during his junior season. He was intercepted seven times. Catalina also rushed for 450 yards and seven touchdowns.
Catalina will see a familiar face when he reports to Syracuse. Teammate Max Suter committed to the Orangemen on May 25.
