Cason attacking summer camps

Clarkston, Mich., cornerback Tim Cason proved he was not afraid to compete when he attended three Rivals Camps this spring. He'll attack college camps with the same intensity this summer.
"I just went to Illinois this weekend," Cason said. "I just came off an injury - turf toe - so I couldn't run a 40. I did outstanding in one-on-ones and the coach liked it a lot. They want to offer soon and said if I would have run the 40 it would have been a slam-dunk for them. I think they are going to talk it over as a coaching staff and come to a decision."

The camp tour continues this week and throughout the month of June. Two schools he is particularly optimistic about receiving offers from after camping at their schools are Pittsburgh and Indiana.
"I have Pitt Friday and Indiana next Wednesday," Cason said. "Then, I am going on a bus tour that is going to Old Dominion, Ohio State and West Virginia. When I come back, I think I might go to Clemson."
Additional schools will see Cason when he attends the Sound Mind, Sound Body Camp in Southfield, Mich., on June 14-15. Coaches from Michigan State and Michigan will be working that camp and have told Cason they look forward to seeing him there.
Currently, Cason holds offers from five Mid-American Conference schools - Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Western Michigan. He expects to be ready to commit to a college once he sees what shakes out from this summer's camp performances.
"I probably will make a decision after this whole camp session," Cason said.
