Carufel has more than a dozen offers

St. Paul (Minn.) Cretin-Derham offensive lineman Matt Carufel is expected to be the top prospect in the state of Minnesota. The 6-foot-5 and 280 pounder played both guard and tackle during his junior season after playing almost exclusively tackle the prior year.
Carufel, who bench presses 320 pounds, had 74 "pancake" blocks in leading his team to a 9-4 record this past season.

"I have 13 offers right now," Carufel said. "I haven't narrowed things down yet.
"Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Miami, Florida, LSU, Nebraska, Washington, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame have offered.
"I'm looking at all of them.
"I visited Iowa for a junior day. I went to Minnesota's junior day. I visited Miami and Florida during spring break. And I went to Wisconsin as well for a junior day."
