Carter picks PSU

On James Franklin's first big recruiting weekend as Penn State's new head coach he picked up three coimmitments. One of those commitments was from four-star Kamonte Carter.
"I liked Penn State for a long time," said the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Cater." I just came up to get confirmation on my feeling and get a feel for the new coaches. I liked it just as much if not more so I decided that this where I should be."

Finding out what the coaching staff was like was the biggest sticking point for Carter.
"I feel like they have my best interest in mind and that this in going to be special," he said. "I like coach Spencer a lot and coach Franklin is a good coach. I feel like this is going in the right direction and I want to be a part t of it."
Penn State's junior day wasn't the first time Carter had been to State College so he was pretty familiar with the campus.
"I've been up here before so I knew a bit about it. I know Marcus Allen and Mark Allen," Carter said. "I've also talked to few other players and alumni"
Carter added that he will be taking an active role in recruiting other players to Penn State.
