Carter loved visit to Morgantown

Michael Carter is one of the nation's top defensive back prospects. Carter, 5-11 and 154 pounds, is a four-star cornerback from Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely High School. He recently took an official visit to West Virginia and came away impressed.
"It was a great trip," Carter said. "The team was great and I enjoyed meeting the players and coaches. I loved the fans because they were so crazy.
"I could honestly say that West Virginia feels like home. I could definitely live there in Morgantown. I like the coaches. Coach (Bill) Stewart and (Doc) Holiday are cool guys. I have known him (Holiday) a long time. He's like family to me."

Carter has also set up a visit to Minnesota (11-7). He is also considering Miami, Florida and Georgia. Carter has also taken unofficial visits to Florida (versus Miami) and Miami (versus North Carolina).
Ely is 2-2 on the season. He has 17 tackles, eight pass breakups and three interceptions on the season.
