"It's a blessing, a big blessing," Carter said. "The college visits and stuff, I love them."
He has already visited Baylor, Houston, and Texas A&M and each left a strong impression.
"What catches my attention at Baylor? That's a good question because everything did. Everything caught my attention at Baylor. I just loved it.The campus was beautiful," Carter said. "UofH is in the third ward part of Houston so it was a shock to see how good the school looked. I liked it. The locker room stood out to me the most at Texas A&M."
Next up for Carter is a return trip to Texas A&M over the weekend, and he may check out TCU on Friday but he has not decided yet.
Carter would also like to attend a few college summer camps.
"I want to do Baylor's camp, and I'm not going to really go too far out of state so whichever camps that are in Houston those are the ones I'm going to do," Carter said
Carter is keeping his options open at this point and he is looking forward to the spring.
In addition to his offers, Carter says Michigan is showing the most interest. He also likes LSU since he grew up in New Orleans before moving to the Houston-area.
Carter is currently ranked a 5.9, four-star prospect, and he is a member of the 2017 Rivals100 to Watch. He rushed for 1,382 yards and 19 touchdowns on 189 carries and earned first-team all-district honors in 2014.
