Manahawkin (N.J.) Southern Regional linebacker Glenn Carson was one of the prospects in South Bend over the weekend who took in Notre Dame's big victory over Michigan.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound three-star prospect was on an official visit to Notre Dame and he came away impressed by what he saw.
"The game was really cool and very exciting," Carson explained. "The crowd was really into it so it was a great atmosphere. Obviously it was an even better game because they won.

"It was an official visit so I talked to most of the coaches. I got some one-on-one time with Coach Weis and in our conversation he talked about what position I would play. He basically told me I would play wherever I could get on the field first."
So does Carson now have any favorites, or has he thought about narrowing his list at all?
"I mean, I don't really have any favorites but I do like Rutgers, Penn State and Notre Dame a lot," he said. "There are still a lot of others in there, though. I think I'm going to take a visit to Penn State for their game against Temple, and I may go to a Boston College game.
"I'm hoping to make my decision before the end of September, but who knows? I might not be ready then, but I'm hoping I am."
Carson is rated the No. 24 inside linebacker in the nation by Rivals.com.
