Carson QB is a royal winner

Defending Los Angeles City Champions Carson, Calif., took on the team that they beat in the City final, Venice, Calif. It was a thrilling game that had more up and downs than a roller coaster. A new star was born in Carson quarterback Bo Napoleon (6-0, 195, 4.5).
According to Napoleon’s father he is related to the former French Emperor so there is no wonder why he is such a warrior.

Napoleon and his Carson teammates conquered Venice 24-21. This was a mighty close shave since Carson at one time was in command of this game jumping out to an 18-0 lead.
Venice mounted a ferocious comeback and even had the lead in the fourth quarter before Carson took the lead for good.
After playing in a Wing T offense for his first two seasons, Napoleon was a sleeper as a quarterback and most schools were looking at him as an athlete. Carson didn’t throw the ball much.
Carson had a coaching change last May and with came a new offensive philosophy. Now the Colts are running the spread offense and Napoleon is flourishing.
Against Venice Napoleon completed 12 passes out of 28 attempts for 177 yards passing. On the ground, Napoleon rushed for 75 yards on 14 carries.
Napoleon has benefited from the return of legendary Carson head coach Gene Vollnogle. Vollnogle has implemented the spread offense and it is very similar to the one being run by power house Los Alamitos.
Napoleon knew that he was going to get a chance to throw the football this so he participated at the Vince Ferragamo’s quarterback camp and won the quarterback competition. He had the longest toss of the day with a 68 yarder.
Not a bad chuck for an ex-Wing T quarterback.
“I love playing in this offense,” Napoleon said. “I love the responsibility for making plays.”
Because of his playmaking ability and that he is running the spread it isn’t to surprising that Utah is showing a lot of interest in Napoleon and the Utes were one of the schools that has called him when colleges were allowed call back on September 1st.
BYU, Fresno State and Oregon have also called the talented signal caller from Carson. He has also been receiving a ton of letter of late from Pac-10 and other western schools.
