Hunt may be waiting on his longtime favorite USC to offer but that hasn't happened yet. Most of the Pac 10 is watching Hunt this fall and if he continues to play at the level he has look for Pac 10 offers in the future.
"Matt is an outstanding lineman," Carson coach Mike Christensen said. "He's the only returning starting lineman on the team but he is as solid as you can get.
"Matt has great footwork, strength and he's football smart," Christensen said. "He has unreal character and is very coachable.
"You will never have any problems with Matt. He's as a good a kid as you can be.
"Matt has set any visits yet that I'm aware of," Christensen said. "But he won't be taking any visits until after the season. He will be a December, January guy.
"Whoever ends up with Matt will be getting an outstanding football player."
Hunt is also solid in the weight room. He benches 335 pounds, squats 505 pounds and benches 23 reps of 225 pounds.
Hunt was selected to the Rivals.com California Top 100 team for the class of 2008 landing as the Golden State's No. 77 at any position.
