Carson considering his options

Texarkana (Texas) Liberty-Eylau 2017 four-star defensive end LaGaryonn Carson has had a busy spring with scholarship offers pouring in from several of the nation's top college programs.
Alabama, Baylor, North Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M all saw all they needed to see to extend scholarship offers to the 6-foot-5, 255-pound defender.

On Saturday, Carson added another SEC program after he took a visit to Fayetteville, Ark., to check out the Arkansas campus.
"I really like their school," Carson said. "I came up to visit them and they were like, 'You're offered.' I'm very happy and excited about it. It's very nice up here. It's very good. I like it up here."
When asked what stood out about the visit to Fayetteville, Carson found it hard to focus on just one aspect of the trip.
"Everything," Carson said. "Everything about the school. It was just very nice."
Carson is not ready to narrow his list or declare any leaders, but there are a few programs who have caught his attention early in the process.
"Probably Arkansas, A&M, Baylor, and Texas," Carson said.
He later would add Alabama, a school he plans to visit in the near future, to his list of standouts, and there are plenty of reasons each caught his attention.
Texas A&M: "I just know my cousin told me it's a good school, and I think I would fit in great up there."
Baylor: "Oh, I like Baylor. They just have a lot of interest in me."
Texas: "Texas, their new coach Jeff Traylor, we played against him. He knows what I can do."
Alabama: "I just like that they have great everything. They produce the most NFL players."
With college visits starting to get underway for the 2017 standout, Carson is keeping it simple when he checks out his options.
"I'm just looking at the coaches and how they make me feel. Great coaches who I know they really believe in me and I know I fit into their school," Carson said.
In addition to his offers, Carson has also received significant interest from Texas Tech and TCU.
