Carrier getting out for different sport

Worthing athlete Tyrone Carrier has been jet-setting the country as a track star.
Carrier (5-9, 180-pounds) won the Texas state track meet in the 200-meter dash as a junior and has parlayed his victory into summer track season.

"I've been running track since middle school and have been all over the country," he said. "I just got back from Indianapolis for nationals and leave for Maryland this Friday."
In a month, Carrier will trade his track spikes for shoulder pads where he is a three-way starter. Carrier returns kicks, catches passes and is a physical corner on defense.
"I can't wait to start hitting people," he said. "At our school the senior is always showcased. This year it's going to be my turn."
Carrier has been offered by Houston and is also being courted by the Florda Gators.
"My family wants me to weigh my options as the season goes on, but I really like both of those schools," he said.
