When it comes to the recruiting process, however, Carr plans to be known for his patience.
"Everything is still going the same as the last time. It's going good. It's real smooth right now," Carr said. "I'm still open right now. I'm still just trying to relax and a little while later I can judge where I want to go."
There is a good reasoning behind his process, and a good reasoning behind Carr not naming a leader.
"Because once I stick with one thing I have to go through with it," Carr said. "I just relax now, and try to think about it but not think too much about it."
He already has quite a few options. TCU has offered as well as Texas Tech, Arizona State, and Oregon State. Junior Day invitations have come from the likes of Oklahoma and Texas, but at this time he does not know what events he will attend or if he will attend any.
"I'm not sure yet because we started track," Carr said.
Carr, who competes in the 100m, 4x200m, 4x100m, and long jump on the track, and while he has not been thinking much about which college, he has been thinking about trying to play multiple sports on the college level.
"I'm not sure, but that's what I want to do," Carr said. "I want to at least try to go somewhere I can do two sports at a time."
As a junior the standout running back rushed for 1,557 yards and 15 touchdowns and earned district offensive MVP honors. Carr is currently ranked No. 47 in the Rivals.com Texas Preseason Top 100 and No. 5 among all-purpose backs in the 2015 recruiting class.
