Carr pleased with hire

Stephen Carr committed to USC in the spring before his junior season and since then the Trojans have undergone a coaching change and many other things but the 2017 four-star running back is sticking with his pledge. The Fontana (Calif.) Summit standout said he absolutely loves the hiring of coach Clay Helton and that should only solidify his decision.

WHAT'S NEXT?: For Carr, it sounds like his recruitment is already over. Georgia and many other programs are coming after the four-star standout but he likes everything the Trojans have to offer, his opportunities at running back and that the school is close to home. There probably won't be a lot of drama when it comes to Carr's recruitment unless something unforeseen happens at USC.
IN HIS WORDS: "Couldn't have picked a better head coach," Carr said of Helton "Looks like he connects with his players very well and that's a huge key to being a great head coach."
RIVALS' REACTION: There is no reason to believe Carr isn't all set with USC. He made an early decision but it was well-considered, he visited the school many times, he really did his research and then made his choice. The Fontana Summit standout loves Helton and the coaching staff so it should be smooth sailing unless something unknown happens with the coaches in the next two years.
