Daunte Carr, one of the top rated safety prospects from the Peach State, is transferring schools. Carr, 6-1 and 188 pounds, is leaving state power Buford (Ga.) High School for Gainesville (Ga.) High School.
"My parents moved so I have to move now," Carr said. "I have to do what is best for me and have the opportunity to play on the opposite side of the ball there."
Carr recorded 73 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, three interceptions and recorded four fumbles last season in helping Buford to a state championship. He has scholarship offers from Duke, Stanford, South Carolina, South Florida, West Virginia, Central Florida and East Carolina. Carr will also play receiver for Gainesville.
