Carr getting more attention

Cameron Carr is starting to hear from some schools and he's excited for the spring evaluation period because he thinks other coaches could get a lot more interested.
The three-star linebacker who recently transferred to La Mirada, Calif., from Downey, Calif., said he heard from his coaches that Texas Tech, Colorado and Utah State are getting more involved and he's looking forward to hearing more.

"(La Mirada) coach (Mike) Moschetti was telling me how he showed them my film and how he's talking about me every day," Carr said.
"He sent out a lot of e-mails. He showed me a lot of contacts. I know for sure Texas Tech and Utah State said they love me so we'll see if they pull the trigger in May."
There are connections to some of those schools. Moschetti played at Colorado and La Mirada three-star wide receiver Tony Brown signed with the Red Raiders last recruiting cycle.
Carr hopes that his own ability on film will prove enough to warrant an offer in the coming weeks. He has not landed any at this point but that might change soon.
"It motivates me a lot," Carr said. "It's making me work harder. I've been noticing a difference in myself working out every day, getting out here. Hopefully the decision I make is the best one for me."
Because the La Mirada linebacker doesn't have any offers yet, he cannot be picky when it comes to schools. Carr said he's open to all programs, willing to listen to every coaching staff and just hopes things get much busier this offseason.
"I'm open right now because I don't have anything," Carr said. "I want something to fall in place."
