Carpenter Likes The Pac 10

The more we saw Westlake (Calif.) quarterback Rudy Carpenter this past week during the CaliFlorida Bowl practices, the more we liked him. Carpenter definitely has a certain swagger about him that you can pick up on right away. He’s a very confident player and in terms of his toughness, lead by example attitude and ability make a play with his legs when the pocket collapses, Carpenter actually reminds us a little of former UCLA quarterback Cade McNown.
The signal caller helped to lead Westlake to a perfect 14-0 record this past season completing 163 of 262 passes for 2,705 yards and 35 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He also rushed for 554 yards and four scores. Carpenter has plus arm strength and athleticism and is a great competitor.

The signal caller has already taken an official visit to Wyoming and will take a look at three Pac 10 school, all next weekend.
“I’m going to take an unofficial visit to UCLA (Jan. 9),” Carpenter said. “The next day I leave for an official visit to Arizona State and at the end of that trip, I’m taking an unofficial visit to Arizona. Notre Dame offered me a visit for (Jan. 17) but I don’t think I’ll take that trip right now. It will probably come down to the three Pac 10 schools.”
