Rivals100 defensive tackle Rick Sandidge has taken his time with his recruitment but he will be taking his official visits soon. The Concord, N.C. star, who has narrowed his list to North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Michigan, and Florida, took some time during Carolinas Shrine Bowl check-in to update his recruitment.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

North Carolina- "I'm a priority there" Sandidge said. "The coaches what me to come there and stay in in North Carolina. I've seen coach Adams a few times and he's pretty much telling me the same things. He did say North Carolina really treats their alumni right.

South Carolina- "They improved from last year and I respect coach Muschamp for doing that," he said. "I already expected it too. I've always had a good time when I visit there. The coaches have come by a few times and next month they are bringing coach Muschamp."

Georgia- "Coach Scott came to see me before and later on they are bringing coach Smart," said Sandidge. "They have a big time depth chart there and I know I'll have to compete if I go there. I'm very willing to compete."

Michigan- "I really haven't talked to the coaches that much," he said. "We're setting my visit up for January."

Florida- "I was talking to coach Rumph before," Sandidge said. "He left for Tennessee so now I need to get with the new staff."

RIVALS' REACTION

South Carolina has been in the driver's seat with Sandidge for a log time because of the opportunity for playing time and all the connections his family has with the school. Georgia seems like the biggest threat to South Carolina right now but all of the schools will get their chance to impress Sandidge one last time when he takes all of his official visits in January.
