Carolina WR has four offers

WINGATE, N.C.- Cheraw (S.C.) wide receiver/defensive back Jaron Brown has picked up multiple early scholarship offers from Southeastern and Atlantic Coast Conference schools. Brown spoke with Rivals.com at the Charlotte NIKE Combine on Sunday about some of the programs that are recruiting him.
"I have scholarship offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee and Kentucky," Brown said. "I don't really have a favorite right now."

Brown was on campus for football games at both in-state schools this past fall.
His high school sent Rivals100 defensive end Cliff Matthews to Columbia in the Class of 2007. He spoke about what he liked about South Carolina.
"I like the coaching staff and the people," Brown said. "They have a good program and I also feel comfortable there."
Brown will attend the Gamecocks' Junior Day event next Saturday.
Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden extended a verbal scholarship offer to Brown while he was visiting Cheraw High last spring. Brown spoke about what he liked about the Tigers.
"I really, really like the campus," Brown said. "They also have a good program."
Brown hasn't been to Tennessee and Kentucky recently offered, so he didn't know as much about those two programs. He is interested in both, however.
Rivals.com national Top 25 recruiter David Reaves is recruiting Brown for South Carolina. Rivals.com Class of 2006 ACC Recruiter of the Year Dabo Swinney is the recruiter of record for Clemson. Matt Luke is recruiting Brown for Tennessee and Joker Phillips for Kentucky.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Brown caught 20 passes for 500 yards and 13 touchdowns and totaled more than 90 tackles on defense while helping Cheraw High win the 2006 South Carolina Class 2A championship.
