Carolina TE nabs offer No. 1

Offer No. 1 has come in for Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor tight end Lucas Wilson. The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder landed the offer on Tuesday from the ACC.
"I got my first offer from NC State," he said. "All I can say is that I was excited, really excited to get the first one."

What does Wilson know about the Wolfpack?
"Well, I never followed NC State a whole lot until this past summer," he said. "I went to one of their scrimmages and ever since then I've followed them more. I really like their facilities, they have nice facilities."
Aside from NC State, Wilson is hearing from North Carolina, Wake Forest and Duke.
Just last week, Wilson took an unofficial visit to North Carolina for the junior day and basketball game between the Tar Heels and Blue Devils.
"It was exciting, a big game," he said. "I got to talk to most of the coaches and pretty much all they said was that they intend to use me as a receiving tight end."
Wilson noted plans to head to Clemson's junior day in early March, but that is the only other visit planned.
Does he like anybody?
"I don't know, I wouldn't say I favor one school over any of the other," he said. "The only school I grew up liking was Wake Forest cause my mom played basketball there and it's right in town."
Wilson posted 21 receptions for 400-yards and two touchdowns while earning all-conference honors as a junior.
