Carolina schools looking at Harris

Miami (Fla.) Northwestern quarterback Jacory Harris has been getting attention from a number of new schools of late, including two major programs from the Carolinas.
"Now I have an offer from Florida International that they just sent in and Duke," Harris said. "And now I have been getting new attention from North Carolina and South Carolina."

Does the 6-foot-4, 178-pound Harris know much about the Gamecocks and Tar Heels?
"Not too much on either one, but I know they have great coaches at those two schools," he said. "Like Steve Spurrier is at (South Carolina and Butch Davis at North Carolina). Steve Spurrier is a great Florida coach, so I would want to go there."
Pittsburgh previously offered Harris a scholarship.
One aspect of college stands above all else with regards to Harris' decision at the moment.
"In college, I am going to have to have my education. I am planning on staying all four years to earn my degree. There's not anything else but education."
Harris knows of two camps specifically he will attend during the coming months.
"We're going to the Elite 11 quarterback camp and to the Miami camp in June," Harris said.
Harris threw for 3,542 yards and 35 touchdowns during his junior year. He led Northwestern High to an unbeaten season and the Florida Class 6A championship.
