Carolina OT pulls ACC offer

Wake Forest (N.C.) Wake Forest-Rolesville offensive tackle Ryan Doyle picked up his first offer just over a week ago. The 6-foot-6, 265-pounder landed the scholarship from the ACC.
"He got offered a week ago by Maryland on Friday and then we visited on that Saturday," Doyle's father, Mike said. "It was real nice. We spent a lot of time with Coach Friedgen and got the tour. It was really impressive and we had a nice time."

Maryland clearly impressed the Doyle's, but one more visit is likely coming soon.
"Wake Forest wants us up on the 10th," he said. "Then we're going to Nike Camp at Virginia Tech on May 8th."
In the meantime, a number of other schools are contacting him including Penn State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Duke, NC State, Colorado and Missouri.
Doyle helped his team to a 14-1 record as he earned all-area and all-conference honors as a junior.
"He can move and he's got an 80 inch wingspan," he said. "He's a real physical kid with good feet. They run the Wing T behind him."
A solid student as well, Doyle boasts a 3.5 GPA.
