Carolina LB pulls third offer, claims two leaders

Charlotte (N.C.) Christian linebacker Kelby Brown landed his third scholarship earlier this week. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder pulled the latest offer from the Big Ten.
"I got my third offer on Monday from Wisconsin," he said. "I mean, it's definitely my biggest offer so far. I'm a Big Ten fan and I watched Ohio State-Wisconsin last year.

"I know Wisconsin finished third n the Big Ten last season. They are constantly competing for Big Ten championships and that's a huge part of football. I know their fans go nuts too. They sell out a huge stadium."
The Badgers join Indiana and Syracuse as the three teams who've offered Brown.
A variety of other schools including Duke, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Stanford and Colorado are also interested.
Does he like any schools right now?
"I'd have to say Duke and Vanderbilt are my favorites right now," he said. "I've met all the Duke coaches and they are awesome. Duke has mentioned they may offer. They plan to come to my school next week. They are real close and the academics are great.
"Vanderbilt I know a lot about and I like the tradition, not to mention they play in the SEC. It's close to home too and the academics are really good."
Brown is just coming off a visit to Syracuse as well.
"I was there this past weekend and met all the coaches," he stated. "I was really impressed with them. My dad talked to me about how good they had been in the past and the coaches all seem like they are bringing back that tradition.
"Coach Marrone is very impressive having coached for the Saints. He seems really sincere and talked to me and my dad."
The Carolina prospect is already planning camps including North Carolina, Duke and Vanderbilt for this summer.
