Carolina DE begins to consider summer visits

Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor defensive end Parker Thomas maintains two scholarships. The 6-foot-5, 227-pounder is garnering plenty of interest from other schools across the ACC and SEC.
"I haven't gotten any more offers besides Duke and ECU," he said. "A lot of the others want me to come in for a one day workout and then they'll possibly offer me.

"I'm looking at going to South Carolina, North Carolina, NC State and Tennessee. I'm thinking about Virginia, Clemson and Wake Forest. I'm trying to fit all those in."
Does Thomas like anybody?
"Not really," he said. "My dad went to NC State, so I like them a bit. I'm going there on the 21st.
"I live just two or three miles from Wake Forest and I've gone to a lot of their games. I like North Carolina too, it's a sports school."
Meanwhile, Thomas is also a star pitcher in baseball and beginning to get recruited there as well.
"I've gotten interest from Clemson's coaches, UNC, LSU, all of them are sending me stuff in the mail," he said. "I love baseball and football. I've got to wait this summer to see what happens.
"I did get all-conference in baseball. I led us to the conference championship and have been clocked at a 92 mile per hour fast ball."
