Carnegie has offer and leaders

Novi, Mich., wide receiver Brandon Carnegie is looking at a combination of MAC and Big Ten schools. He has been to camps at several of the schools on his list and has a couple others in mind.
"I went to Ball State," he said. "I went to Ohio State June 3. And I went to Central Michigan.

"I'm still going to do Northwestern July 25 I think. I might go to Indiana's camp too."
Being from the state of Michigan, Carnegie says the University of Michigan and Michigan State are attractive, but not neccessarily likely options.
"Of course everyone wants to go to Michigan or Michigan State," he said. "But Ball State and Central Michigan are my two favorites. Ball State has offered me and I think Central might."
While Carnegie has the two at the top of his list, one has the early edge over the other.
"I know more about Ball State, so I'd probably say they are my favorite," Carnegie said. "But once I get to know more about the coaches at Central that might change."
Central Michigan has some time to extend an offer.
"I'm not close to (committing to Ball State)," he said. "I'm just waiting things out right now."
The 5-foot-11 and 171-pound Carnegie caught 42 passes and scored seven times during his junior season. He also intercepted two passes and was an all-conference and all-area selection.
"Both Ball State and Central say either wide receiver or cornerback, whatever works out," Carnegie said.
