Carimi keeping an eye on the Badgers

Monona Grove, Wis., offensive lineman Gabe Carimi, who committed to Wisconsin on June 28, has kept a close eye on the Badgers while also leading his team to a 4-0 record.
"I'm playing both offensive tackle and defensive end," Carimi said. "We play Edgewood this week. It's a huge game. They're undefeated in the conference."

Carimi is having no second thoughts on his commitment to Wisconsin.
"I've been to all their games," he said. "Coach Murphy calls each week. Coach Bielema called once. I'm not sure when my official visit will be."
When Barry Alvarez announced this would be his last season as the Badgers' head coach, it didn't change Carimi's thinking one bit.
"Coach Alvarez is a great coach and has great tradition at Wisconsin," Carimi said. "But coach Bielema is a great coach too. He'll keep them winning. He's a great guy.
The 6-foot-7 and 268-pound Carimi is the No. 3 prospect in the state of Wisconsin in the Rivals.com player rankings.
