Cards makes their case to Rivals250 LB

Louisville head coach Charlie Strong and his assistants had a big recruiting weekend and hosted several of their top remaining prospects from 2012.
One of the top recruits in Louisville this weekend was Nick Dawson, the four-star Charlotte (N.C.) Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology. The Cardinals seem to have helped their cause.
"It was a great, great experience," Dawson said on Sunday evening after returning home. "I'm from Louisville but there's been a lot going on since I've been. I hadn't been in a long time."

Dawson's father lives in Louisville and connecting with him was only one of the highlights of the trip, though it was a big one.
Talking to Strong and his staff was also pivotal.
"They said it's nice there and that middle linebacker spot is going to be open," Dawson explained. "There's a chance to come in and start right away. That's what I'm looking for."
Dawson said there were "7 or 8" other recruits in attendance and he enjoyed interacting with them as well.
"We went out on the town and we spent some time on campus. It was a great time," he concluded.
Dawson's list of finalists includes Louisville, NC State, Clemson, North Carolina and Illinois. He will announce his decision at the U.S. Army All-American Game in early January.
