Cardinal lands lineman

There two schools that can come up to UW territory and pull out a player or two. UW monopolizes the Evergreen State. The interlopers that have some success are Notre Dame and Stanford. The Stanford Cardinal picked a plum from the great northwest in offensive lineman/defensive lineman Bobby Dockter (6-5, 275, 5.0) from Mukilteo (Wash.) Kamiak.
“The big reason that I committed to Stanford was that I was accepted,” Dockter said. “Stanford is a great place to be.”

“It combines an Ivy League education with the nation’s number one all-around athletic program,” Dockter said. “It is just a great place to be a student-athlete.”
“Stanford has great coaches,” Dockter said.
In an earlier interview with rivals.com Docktor had this to say about one coach in particular from the Stanford staff, “I was able to go down to Stanford and work with Coach (Steve) Morton. I really like Coach Morton and think he’s an awesome guy.”
Dockter has very quick feet and is excellent at both pass and run blocking techniques. He may be a touch ahead as a drive blocker but the talent is definitely there to be outstanding at both blocking disciplines on the D-I level.
Stanford wins the services over an offer from Oregon State and other interest from Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Colorado, Nebraska and Michigan State.
Dockter was selected first-team all-league as a junior and now has bench of 305 pounds, his squat in 375 pounds and has recorded a 23-inch vertical jump.
