Cardinal add Colorado OL to class
Boulder, Colo., offensive lineman John Kyed knew early where he wanted to go to college. The next step was pulling in the scholarship offer from the coach.
"I've always wanted to go to Stanford," the 6-foot-6, 280-pound Kyed said. "My uncle went to school there and he's told me all about and how great the academics were. It wasn't until recently that I realized how good the athletics were at the school, too."

Kyed took a trip to Palo Alto during his spring break last month.
"I went out there during spring break and got to meet the coaches and see the facilities again. It was that trip where I got the scholarship offer. Coach (Walt) Harris offered me in his office and I knew right away that I was saying yes."
Kyed had earlier received an offer from Colorado State. He also was receiving interest from Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Duke and Iowa State.
