Capers contemplates trips

Wide receiver Wayne Capers out of Bridgeville (Pa.) Chartiers Valley is beginning to focus in. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder is contemplating official visits as the season is picking up.
"I've narrowed it down a little bit, I'm eliminating the smaller schools," he said. "I have offers from Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, Temple and I think Toledo. That's pretty much what I know. Those are the ones showing the most interest and that's who I'm looking at."

Capers noted that he hasn't been anywhere yet, but is looking at official visits.
"We'll get into visits next month, I'll take a couple officials and then I know where I want to go."
With potentially critical trips on the horizon, what does he want to see?
"I'm looking at visits only to schools I'm looking at," he said. "I just want to see someplace like my basketball team where everyone knows each other and gets along with each other. I want that tight knit family where they are all brothers the whole entire season."
Capers is getting back in the swing of thins this season for Chartiers Valley.
"We're coming together now and I was a little rusty at first, but I'm having a good senior year," he said. "I gained a lot of weight in the offseason and I'm getting adjusted to that this year, trying to get my speed back. I'm working to get better control of my body."
With respect to his position, Capers is getting looks both ways.
"A lot of schools are recruiting me as a safety or outside linebacker, some people like wide receiver or slot back, it varies," he said. "I don't know what I want to play. I like outside linebacker or safety."
