Capella plans late summer decision

Nick Capella has landed three offers with one from the Pac-12 and this summer will be important to the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure recruit because he wants to make his decision before his senior season.
Cal, Nevada and UNLV have offered the 6-foot-5, 273-pound three-star offensive tackle and he said plenty of other Pac-12 programs are showing interest including Oregon, Arizona and Oregon State.

A handful of Ivy League programs are getting involved and Capella said playing in that conference is an option but he wants to investigate the Pac-12 schools further to see if any more offers will come.
"I'm flying out to see a lot of the Ivy League schools this summer," Capella said. "I would consider it on the basis of the educational opportunities but football comes first to me."
Cal definitely looks good at this point if the St. Bonaventure recruit is leaning toward the Pac-12.
Capella plans to camp with the Golden Bears this summer and he's also trying to schedule a trip to Oregon's camp as well.
A lot can still happen in the coming months before Capella wants to make his commitment so he's not prepared to name a frontrunner.
The three-star wants to see what happens with the Pac-12 and Ivy League programs and then reach a decision over the summer.
"It's too early for any favorites," Capella said.
"It's one of those things where I'm going to try to see as many schools as I can over the summer and try to decide before my senior year of football starts."
UNLV is the newest offer for the St. Bonaventure lineman. Cal and Nevada had offered earlier. He had a strong performance this spring at the RCS Southern California.
