MORE: Schools after Miami commit Thomas

When Arkansas and Miami offered unknown Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington defender Demetrius Jackson, it puzzled some recruiting experts. Jackson lacked much playing experience and only had spring practice and his spring game under his belt when schools started taking notice.
But a look at his tape shows why BCS schools are interested. He has an explosive first step and can rush the passer with the best of them, including Rivals100 teammate Chad Thomas.
The Rivals.com 2-star prospect will likely see his ranking change after his impressive start to his senior year. Jackson is closing in on double-digit sacks in just four games.
"I know that's something I have to earn," Jackson said of his ranking. "I'm focused on the season right now."
His humble approach and his pass -rushing ability has caught the eye of a few programs.
"Louisville is after me and USC is sending me mail and Arkansas is still talking to me," Jackson said.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound prospect isn't sure if he will take any visits at this point.
"It hasn't really crossed my mind yet," Jackson said. "I thought about it, but I will cross that road when it comes."
For now Jackson said he is 100-percent to UM and wants the team to keep getting better each game.
