Canes, Gators added to CBs visit list

Four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) White cornerback Dawayne Grace has added two more official visits to his calendar.
“I’m going to Miami on Dec. 5 and Florida on Jan. 16,” he said. “I already had Maryland on Dec. 19, so that’s the first three. The last two are between Florida State, Purdue and Tennessee.”

Any favorites at this point?
“No. I don’t have a leader,” Grace said. “Maryland or Purdue probably has the best playing time situation for me, but it’s hard to look away from the in-state schools. I like them a lot. I’m still looking close at Tennessee, too.”
Grace (6-1, 172, 4.4) plans to take in the Florida State-Florida game this weekend in Gainesville.
“I just want to see a good game most of all,” he said, “but I’ll be watching the corners real close to see what they do. I want to get a scouting report on them, and see who’s coming back next year.”
Grace is rated the No. 13 corner in the nation by Rivals.com. As a junior, he picked off four passes. This season, he failed to record an interception, but noted that teams rarely – if ever – challenged him.
“It was kind of boring,” he said. “Nobody would throw at me. What can you do?”
Academically, Grace maintains a 2.8 GPA and has scored a qualifying 910 on the SAT.
