The Boston College Eagles received a verbal commitment from one of Canada's best players.
"I committed to Boston College," said Montreal (Que.) Vanier Prep wide receiver Kevin Challenger. "I haven't been down there yet, but I have relatives in the Boston area and a few people I know have been to Boston College and they said I'd be crazy to pass up the opportunity."
Challenger, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound speedster with 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash, chose the Eagles over offers from Rutgers and Syracuse as well as interest from Marshall and others.

"I did a lot of research on Boston College and the academics are excellent there and I hear it's beautiful," he said. "I'll go down there for the Rutgers game (Nov. 29) for my official visit."
As a junior, Challenger caught 26 passes for more than 600 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. He also returned two punts for touchdowns and was named to the Canadian Junior Team as well.
