Rivals250 defensive tackle Reggie Ellis continues to gain momentum after a solid showing at the Elite College Combine and Penn State Nike Camp. Additional offers have come in for the 6-foot-3, 285-pounder from a variety of schools.
"Pittsburgh, Boston College, Michigan, Virginia Tech and Penn State are the new ones," he said. "I'm up over 10 offers now. I got all of these in the last two weeks from the combines.
"I can tell you the ones from Penn State and Michigan stood out, they are big-time programs on the defensive line and that's what I like. Those are schools that can get me to the next level."
With such a variety of schools already offering, is there a favorite for Ellis?
"There's no school standing out," he said. "I'm looking for schools that let the defensive guy get up the field and all the ones contacting me are like that. Things are going great."
Ellis went on to discuss his experience in State College.
"It was a great time," he said. "I think the schools recruiting me saw what they already wanted to, but other ones were able to see my size, motor and physical play. I just feel like a very blessed individual at this time."
The D.C. prospect plans to head to quite a few schools this summer, but still has not officially scheduled anything yet.
