Recruiting is rising for Fork Union (Va.) Fork Union Military Academy offensive tackle Joshua Campion. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder claims a couple offers and has other schools interested.
"I've been told this is the time of the year things start to pick up," he said. "I was actually at Temple on an official visit this past weekend.
"I met with Buffalo last week and a bunch of Division I-AA schools are interested right now as is Memphis."
"Wagner and Newberry have offered me," he said. "Temple is supposed to be sometime real soon, perhaps this week, that's why they brought me up. I think Memphis and Buffalo. They are making it seem like they are right on the edge. They plan to come by school today and see me."
Are bigger schools looking?
"I talked to Florida State earlier in the year, but nobody else is talking to me," he said. "I'm waiting it out. I don't want to commit myself to anything until after the combine and everything is said and done and all the offers are on the table."
Wherever Campion ends up he is planning to be enrolled in January.
Meanwhile, how did his season go?
"I felt like I did well," he said. "I had to battle for my starting spot which was good. I felt like I started really well and I was absolutely much more disciplined and had better technique."
