Campbell eyes options

Corpus Christi (Texas) Flour Bluff cornerback Jalen Campbell continues to contemplate his college decision. There was a time it appeared he was headed to Texas, before the two parted ways. TCU and Oregon were options but again he saw his options change.
He does have options and good ones. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound cornerback holds currently holds offers from Sam Houston State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, and Angelo State. He has received significant interest from UTSA, and Houston and Texas State have also remained in contact.

Over the weekend he will take his first official visit, and is looking to schedule a few others.
"I'll be taking an official visit to Sam Houston this weekend," Campbell said. "After this weekend not yet. I think the next weekend I'll end up taking another official but I don't know to who yet."
UTSA and Texas A&M-Kingsville have expressed their desires to bring him in on official visits, and coaches from Sam Houston State and UTSA have developed strong relationships with him.
The process has taken some twists and turns along the way and right now Campbell is taking it all in.
"Well I was planning to graduate at the semester. That was a rush. I was calling everybody and seeing what everybody had so I could figure out where I was going to go," Campbell said. "Once TCU and Oregon backed out we decided not to graduate early anymore. Right now I kind of get to chill and take my time. I definitely won't be making a decision anytime soon and I plan to take the rest of my officials too."
Right now he is enrolled in class and plans to play basketball, maybe run track, and one more thing.
"For the most part I'm just getting ready to get into college and make a big impact," Campbell said.
