Camp season is in full swing for TE Stevens

Tight end David Stevens attended his first camp a couple weeks back at Ohio State recently. The visit improved the 6-foot-4, 228-pounder's stock as he intends to take in a couple more camps in the near future.
"I went to Ohio State's camp on the 10th and it was great," he said. "I had fun there doing drills and one-on-ones.

"One of the coaches talked to me and said I have a real shot of going there. I talked to him later though and he said they wouldn't do anything until they saw my senior tape. I was really surprised to hear that, it was exciting. If they were to offer it would definitely make me think a little more about things."
Stevens plans to head to a couple more camps this week.
"I'm going to Boston College on Friday and Syracuse on Sunday," he said. "I've visited both of those before, but want to impress the coaches. They both have said I have a real shot, they just want to see me in person first."
The Jersey prospect is still considering two more camps later this summer to Rutgers and Connecticut.
At this time, Stevens continues to hold five offers from Purdue, Akron, New Hampshire, Army and Towson. Is there a favorite?
"Not really right now," he stated. "I want to go to a big school where I can study science and get a good education. Preferably I'd like to join a good team too. It would be nice to be near a city as well."
