Calls coming for Houston lineman

Houston (Texas) Jersey Village offensive lineman Daniel Seahorn has been patient with the recruiting process so far this year and the phone has begun to ring.
"I just got off the phone with Coach (Erik) Slaughter from Houston," the 6-foot-3, 274-pound Seahorn said. "He was the second coach to call me. New Mexico called yesterday. I had good talks with both of them. We had several schools come by the high school already this spring to talk to my coach."

Neither of the two schools has offered scholarships, yet, but the summer camp circuit is just about to begin.
"I don't have any offers at this point," Seahorn said. "Coach Slaughter wants me to come to their camp next week and I am going to try to make it down there for it."
Jersey Village has concluded spring practices and made good progress according to Seahorn.
"I think the practices went well. I believe our team shaped up pretty well. The more we can practice, the better we'll get."
Seahorn has the ability to play both ways, but schools are focusing at keeping him on the offensive side of the ball in college.
"Most of the schools are looking at me for offensive line," he said. "I am looking at staying on the offensive side of the ball and that seems what the coaches are looking at me."
