Calls and offers flow in for Slaton

Fairless Hills (Pa.) Conwell-Egan running back Steve Slaton , a varsity starter since his freshman year, is drawing plenty of attention from recruiters. And why not?
The 5-foot-11 and 190 pound Slaton has rushed for over 1600 yards the past two seasons and is also one of the top track athletes in the Keystone State.

"Michigan just called," Slaton said. "Wisconsin has called. Georgia Tech, Minnesota, and Penn State called. And a couple others I can't remember."
"I have offers from North Carolina, West Virginia, and Maryland. Wisconsin said they would be offering. Boston College said I should receive an offer in June when they get off the road. Indiana said they would offer."
"I'm pretty much looking at all of them."
"But I like Maryland best so far. I visited them during a track meet. I liked the facilities. And it's close to home."
