THE LATEST: Baylor, TCU, and Alabama remain high on Calloway's early list with Texas, UCLA, Ohio State, and LSU among those he continues to watch close. He plans to attend a few college games in the fall and he currently does not plan to make a college decision until next spring.
IN HIS WORDS: "I'm going to try and make it out to some Baylor and TCU games. The sort of close to home type of games. Alabama is probably going to be one game I'm going to try and make. Or a Michigan game or something I'll try to make those type of games.
ANALYST TAKE: Friday night during Bishop Dunne's intrasquad scrimmage Calloway showed off his physical side. He jumped up and pressed receivers at the line. He was smooth as he transitioned from his backpedal. He made quick reads and was explosive out of his breaks. He also dished out some big hits from his cornerback spot. He picked one offensive player off his feet before planting him in the ground and he took some nice angles to close on some explosive moments along the sidelines.
On the recruiting front, Baylor, TCU, and Alabama have jumped out to an early lead. Calloway has not made any elimations at this time and he is taking his time with the recruiting process. Even if it is only a slight margin all three programs have shown they do not nead much of a head start to close on some big time prospects.
