Callaway set for FSU official visit

Class of 2015 three-star receiver Antonio Callaway of Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington will take his first official visit to No. 1-ranked Florida State next weekend when the Seminoles host Wake Forest on Saturday.
The 6-foot, 185-pound Callaway has blazing speed - he clocked a 4.47 40-yard dash at an Auburn camp this summer - and has seen his recruiting process take off since the season started, earning six offers in that time including Alabama, Auburn and USC.

"It's been very exciting," Callaway said of the offers he's received since the start of the season. "I've worked hard and I wasn't expecting them to come out of nowhere. So it was just very exciting."
Though he recently listed Georgia, Florida and LSU as his top three, he said he no longer has a list. He said those three schools, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, USC, Louisville and Miami are the schools standing out to him the most at the moment.
As for Florida State, the Seminoles have a lot working in their favor with Callaway's cousin and true freshman receiver Ermon Lane on the roster.
"He says he likes it a lot," Callaway said. "He said the coaches are telling him this is the place I need to be."
In addition to Lane, Callaway has two friends on the Seminoles roster, senior defensive tackle Desmond Hollin and sophomore receiver Jesus Wilson.
Callaway has been to Tallahassee once before during a Seminoles camp this summer and came away impressed with the experience.
"The facilities caught my attention," he said. "The way the coaches taught us at the stations, I know I can learn a lot there."
Callaway is being recruited by Seminoles assistant Tim Brewster, who is trying to get Callaway to join fellow Floridians George Campbell, Nyqwan Murray and Auden Tate as 2015 receiver commits.
Callaway is being recruited at the slot receiver position.
"(Brewster) is telling me I can come in and make big plays," Callaway said. "He's saying that I can play and that I'm already a baller, so I just have to come in and work."
When Callaway arrives in Tallahassee for his visit, he's looking for a couple of things.
"I want to feel comfortable," he said. "I want to see how they use their slot receivers. Stuff like that."
Callaway said he doesn't have any other official visits set in stone, but is working on taking one to LSU for its game against Alabama on Nov. 9.
Callaway is interested in both schools.
"LSU is a big-time program," he said. "That's why I like them."
"I like Alabama," he said. "I could take the role of Amari Cooper and I can come in and play, because he's leaving."
As of now, Callaway is planning to wait until National Signing Day to announce his decision.
