Caliornia CB receives fourth offer

Fresno (Calif.) Edison cornerback Lorenzo Sims has added a fourth school to his offers from USC, LSU and Nebraska. "Yeah, Colorado just offered me," the 5-foot-11 180-pound Sims said.
Sims has also been hearing regularly from "Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Fresno State." All of the above colleges visited his school and he was phoned in the May calling period by "Let's see ... Oklahoma, USC, Cal, Oregon State, Oregon, Nebraska and Fresno State."

Sims has three schools that have risen above the rest on his list of favorites at this time:
USC - "They are recruiting me the hardest. Their coaching staff is very similar to the coaching staff at my high school. It wouldn't take me very long to adapt to them and their system. Plus, they're very close to home."
LSU - "They sound very interested in me. They have a very good football program with a great future."
Nebraska - "I grew up really liking Nebraska. They were my favorite school, I just like the way they played. Last year, I watched their cornerback Keyou Craver a lot. I liked his style, the way he played DB."
After his top three, two schools from the same state are next on his list.
Oregon - "They have a very good football program. They've been real good the last couple of years. I like the PAC 10 conference a lot. They've been writing me a lot lately."
Oregon State - "They sound very interested in me. They're supposed to be offering be offering me soon."
Already this summer Sims has attended the Nike combines at Stanford and USC, as well as a UCLA one day camp.
"I didn't do as well as I should have. I tore the lateral meniscus in my knee last season when someone hit my knee while was I making a tackle in a game. That has slowed me down. I have to get arthroscopic surgery on it next week. They said it is no big deal and I'll be back to full speed in a few weeks."
His priorities on his college choice are, "The graduation rate of the players. And where I fit in as far as playing time. I'd like to get early playing time and to have a chance to play my first year. I'm going to check out to see if they have played freshman defensive backs in the past."
Distance won't play a factor with Sims. He would like to go through the recruiting process and take some trips before he comes to a final decision.
