California WR headed to the Big 10

San Leandro, Calif. wide receiver Sam Cheatham enjoyed his visit so much he made a commitment.
"I had a really good time on my visit to Northwestern," the 5-foot-10, 175-pound Cheatham said. "It was one of the best visits I've been on."

So how good was the visit to Evanston?
"It was so good I committed to them," the No. 39 rated receiver said. "I'm going to be a Wildcat."
Cheatham had a visit set for Jan. 17 to visit Kansas State, but has decided not to visit the Big 12 school.
"I just don't think that would be a good place for me to visit, now. The coach recruiting me has left for another school, and it really has been a little bit since I had much contact with them. I won't be making that trip to K-State."
Cheatham's commitment to Northwestern will join him with his high school teammate, Reggie McPherson, a 6-foot-1 wide receiver who committed in early December.
