California WR favoring two

San Leandro, Calif. wide receiver Sam Cheatham has two visits to go, both to his favorites.
"I've got a visit set for Northwestern for this weekend (Jan. 10)," the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Cheatham said. "Then next weekend I will visit Kansas State (Jan. 17). Those are the two schools at the top of my list.

"When I get back from the two trips, I'll compare the two schools and then make a decision."
Earlier, Cheatham had listed Colorado and Oregon State highly, but the departure of Coach Embree from Colorado took the Buffaloes out of the running.
"Embree was the coach who recruited me and was my position coach at Colorado," the No. 39 rated wide receiver said. "When he left, I lost my connection with Colorado."
So, what reaction does Cheatham have about the departure of the coach who is recruiting him from Kansas State, Ron Hudson?
"I hadn't heard he was leaving yet," Cheatham said. "I'll still visit there. Coach Hudson was a good guy, but he wasn't the position coach for me if I end up there. I'll still go visit and see the school."
