California S has No. 1 team

It was only a matter of time before Oceanside, Calif., safety Reggie Grigsby picked up the attention that he deserves. The only problem is that it might be too later for many schools.
That's because Grigsby, who is the No. 15 safety in the nation and ranked four stars by Rivals100.com, has a clear-cut leader.

"Colorado is still my No. 1 team," Grigsby said. "The others definitely have some ground to make up. I'm going to try to visit Colorado right after their season and our season is over. I want to get back out there and check it out."
Even though CU is leading, that hasn't stopped new teams from entering the picture. Kansas State, USC and Colorado State have all called in the past two weeks and are now also in the hunt along with Oklahoma, San Diego State and Oregon.
Grigsby has offers from Colorado, San Diego State and Arizona State.
"USC has picked it up kind of," Grigsby said. "And Kansas State has also called, and they seemed interested."
