California QB makes up his mind

Newhall (Calif.) Hart quarterback Matt Moore has said all along that if UCLA had offered a scholarship that it would too hard to turn down. Well, the Bruins offered and...
"I committed to UCLA on Friday," Moore said Saturday afternoon.
"I was over there at practice. After it was finished, I talked with coach Toledo. We were sitting there and he said they liked what they saw and wanted to offer me a scholarship.
"I committed on the spot."
Moore, ranked as the No. 12 pro-style quarterback in the nation, had been getting attention from Arizona State, Oregon State and also had an offer from Colorado, but all along UCLA was his "team to beat."
"I can't believe this worked out," Moore said. "It's just one of the biggest things to ever happen to me.
"All of the hard work has finally paid off."
