Three-star Walnut (Calif.) Mount San Antonio College wideout Scott Mitchell has made his college decision.
“I just got off the phone with coach Phillips and coach Hudson from Kentucky,” he said. “I’m signing with Kentucky.”

Mitchell (6-3, 210, 4.45) said he picked the Wildcats over Arizona State. Oregon State and Texas A&M were also involved in his recruitment late in the process.
“It was a real hard decision, but something just sparked inside of me about going east and playing in the SEC,” he said. “They have everything you need to have a great program there – the coaches, the facilities, the fan support. They’ve had some tough seasons in the past, but still get 65- to 70,000 fans per game. That’s real attractive to a player like me.”
Mitchell caught 18 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns at MSAC before suffering a torn ligament in his thumb in the fourth game.
